Start with the work.
An unanswered call, an inbox full of price lists, or information spread across disconnected tools can all point to the same problem: people are doing work that a better system could help them handle.
I’m also speaking at AFROTECH 2026, the largest Black tech conference in the U.S. My session, Building AfroTech.guide, follows a community problem through the decisions that turned it into a working product.
My work brings together software engineering, consulting, and technical leadership. I start by understanding the process, then choose the combination of software, integrations, and AI that fits it.
Own the decision and the outcome.
As Director of IT at The Garden Church, I work across technology strategy, operations, and the systems people rely on. Through Asaday, I help other organizations decide what to buy, automate, or build.
My background includes software engineering, solutions engineering at T-Mobile, and software development and technical consulting at Banger Solutions. That connects the technical choices to the customer conversation and the day-to-day work.
I also built AfroTech.guide and lead a 5,000+ member AfroTech community.
A few examples of what that looks like.
- SmartVoiceX connects phone conversations to scheduling, follow-up, human handoff, and usable call records.
- TMC Price Intelligence organizes supplier emails and attachments into comparable produce pricing.
- Illumia Archive Intelligence connects search and AI-assisted retrieval to the original case records and work notes.
- The Garden brings church operations into a connected platform.
- Exempliph.ai combines structured profiles, tailored documents, and reviewed browser automation.
How I approach a project.
First, we identify a workflow worth improving and what a useful result would look like. Then we map the tools, data, and constraints around it. A focused first version gives us something concrete to test before expanding the scope.
I use predictable logic for steps that need to be consistent, and AI where interpretation or generation is useful. The person using the system should be able to inspect the source, review a proposed action, and understand what happens next.
Still curious outside the work.
I’m based in Houston. Away from client work, I make music and experiment in Blender. That same curiosity shows up in the software: I like understanding how something works, then seeing what else it could become.
Bring the problem.
You can start with an enterprise audit or implementation engagement, or a paid consultation, work with me on implementation, or scope a custom application. Bring the messy workflow or the unfinished idea. We can work out the next step together.
