Bolton’s Hot Chicken
Website and SEO Case Study

A restaurant website rebuild that modernized the brand online, improved ordering paths, and strengthened local search visibility.

Overview

I rebuilt Bolton's Famous Hot Chicken's website to modernize an outdated restaurant presence without stripping away the character that made the brand recognizable. The goal was to preserve the Nashville hot chicken identity while making the site faster, cleaner, easier to use, and more effective for online ordering.

Restaurant websites need to answer simple questions quickly: what is this place, what can I order, where is it, and how do I buy? I designed the rebuild around those decisions.

Brand and ordering flow

I updated the visual presentation, tightened the logo and color treatment, and created a more current page structure while keeping the energy of the original brand. The site needed to feel like Bolton's, not like a generic restaurant template.

I also added clear Uber Eats and DoorDash paths so visitors could move directly from interest to ordering. For a restaurant, that conversion path is one of the most important pieces of the site.

Local SEO and engagement

I improved the site's SEO foundation so the restaurant could show up better for local search and branded discovery. That meant clearer page structure, better metadata, more useful content, and a cleaner path for visitors coming from search.

The work supported stronger impressions, sessions, and engagement because the site became easier to understand and easier to act on. A good local restaurant site should make the food, the location, and the order path obvious.

What this project shows

This project shows how I handle local business websites: I modernize the experience, protect the brand's personality, and connect the design directly to revenue paths. The point is not decoration. The point is helping more people find the business and place an order.
